Mother Fighting for Carers Against "Discriminatory" Proposals

In December 2016, Rachael Scott-Hunter led a fierce campaign against Oxfordshire County Council's proposals to close nearly all of the county's health and wellbeing centres. Rachael, whose daughter Alexandra had profound disabilities, branded the cuts "discriminatory" and "immoral."

“It is targeting the most vulnerable people in the county. These people cannot speak for themselves... It is cruel and it is going to cause a lot of heartache.” — Rachael Scott-Hunter
