On February 19th 2023, Cllr Les Sibley – Chair of Cherwell District Council – held a fundraising event to raise funds for Alexandra House of Joy, his chosen charity of the year 2022-2023.

Held at the Wroxton House Hotel in Banbury, the afternoon began with a fascinating talk from Ian Scott-Hunter about his memoirs as a footman to the Royal Family in the 1970s.

The talk was followed by a delicious afternoon tea served by the staff of the lovely Wroxton House Hotel. Cllr Sibley then drew the raffle, which featured many wonderful donations from supporters of the project.

In total, the event raised the wonderful sum of £1,145!
